Eye of the beholder

by Rose and the Thorn   Mar 30, 2006

Your foot shall slip in due time, my love..
and when you meet your glorious fall,
i will be there.
not to ridicule you, but to help you understand
why things turned out the way they did...
maybe your eyes will be opened to reveal all your wrongs
whether they were intentional or not.
vengance, i seek not
but rahter you realize all the souls you're hurting..
you can't continue on this way,
letting sin consume you...
you're running low on victims
it's all coming back to you now...
in time you'll be the boy who cried wolf
and your insincere feelings will simply be dismissed
what then, dearest love?
what have you become?
it's all just a sick game for me now..
i see it all from the eyes of a shadow..
i wonder
was it the same for me?
i regret to say it was...
that and so much more..
you will learn, sweet devil...
you will learn
