Cutting

I see someone cutting again
its sad to think i once knew that girl
that girl was so beautiful
so beautiful she shined like the sun
now she's cutting again
its started to become dim
dimmer and dimmer
the light fades away
she can't stop cutting
her life is slipping away
all the sudden there was none
no light to shine the way
no sun to light the new day
she slit her wrists and went away
drowning her worries with her blood
now she's gone
the cheerleader
the champion
the one like one other
she's gone
no one tried to help her
no one tried to stop her
she wishes it was different
she wishes she could stop
now the town wishes they knew
but some did know
and still they cut
now they see someone just like them
right now they cry
but that night
they went home to die
