Life's Rules

by Blacksand   Mar 31, 2006

My life's a mess, and so is my mind,
there's too much stress, have to unwind.
Days and nights bleeding all into one,
Money and drugs, and the life of the gun.

You have to pay to play the game,
and second's the first to lose.
You have to be different from the same old same,
so that you are the one they choose.

This one life's all we get to live,
just one trip to this ball.
So give it all you've got to give,
and try your best to take it all.

Always keep your memories, in back where they belong,
even if they keep pushing through, because they are so strong.
But, never think too much ahead for tomorrow may not dawn,
but, until the day when no dawn comes, then I shall carry on.
