Here I Am

[Hope is not something that we can conjure up within ourselves; we all need something or someone to focus on, to draw us forward as we stumble towards the finale in our race of life.]

So I run the straight race, down the winding path
With my eyes set on you, on your beautiful face
With my heart full of joy and my lungs filled with cheer
My soul joined with you, my delight - my most dear
I trust in your soft spoken words, "Never fear,
Never fear."
"Here I am."
You reply, "I am here."
