Thoughts of a girl

by *[C]ryingx[A]lone*   Mar 31, 2006

I see a girl, looking so great.
I see her smile and hear her laugh.
Her life seems so grand, nothing going wrong,
Perfect grades, great friends.
Then i look into her eyes and see the hidden sorrow.
I see into her soul, and see the confusion.
Overwhelmed with stress, trying to please everyone.
I hear her thoughts, "If i smile and laugh no one will know."
I see the scars, hidden from the world.
Her guilt so strong it seems passionate.
I see her crying at night, alone in her room.
I see her struggle to not get out the razor.
She hides all her pain and stress,
And shows no temptation to the substances at hand.
"It's easier this way," she thinks to herself.
Then smiles once more, and hides from the world.
