Sin

by Scott Sturgeon   Mar 31, 2006

Soft winds blow in at night
Its gentle touch cools my skin
I welcome the night without a fight
And it comes in and shows me sin

Blind love and empty promises
Thatâ??s what you give and what I receive
True love died that night
And thatâ??s what sin came to retrieve

I closed my eyes and felt the cold winds rush through
All I did was give you my heart that was true
Sin came and stole you away from me
And left me with an empty heart and broken dreams

Why donâ??t you love me and why did sin come that night
You were willing to go, to go without a fight
Sin ran away with my one true love
A love that only is sent from above

Sin broke me heart and sent me into oblivion
A tail spin that I couldncouldn\'t my rhythm in
Out of control I wondered what lays head
Sin has taken my life and left me for dead
