The candle that was never lit

by aga   Apr 1, 2006

She lay there sleeping almost dead,
from her face the blood that bled,
lay a candle waiting to be lit
laying there never to quit,
in the freezing month of January,
she lay there for the candle to be lit.

She had no money,
she was never thought funny,
the flakes of snow drowing her in her tears,
lies, hates and fears.

The girl waiting for that candle to be lit,
she lay there almost dead.
"i have to make it"
she thought.

as she stood on her weak legs,
asking people to lit the candle,
pushing and shoving,
no one for the loving.

"please" she begged,
her voice not strong nor weak,
with that push she heard them shreik,
"no one lit it"
and see fell asleep
