Goodbye

by yvonne tattersall   Apr 1, 2006

My heart was once a work of art,
Until you broke it apart,
When I learned you had died,
I never got to say my last goodbyes.

It was too late,
You were already gone,
How could I carry on?
But I have to be strong.

My life changed that day,
When I knew you,
Are not coming back my way,
You didn't have a price to pay.

Why did you have to go?
Look at me now, I am so low,
I don't know how am i going to cope,
But I have to believe I have some hope.

I want to be with you,
Wherever you are,
Look at the pain you put me through,
You are now my star.

It is so hard without you,
Nothing is the same,
All I have left of you are memories,
And you in a picture frame.

Hope you are looking down,
I'll try to smile, even when I want to frown,
I won't cry, but I can't believe,
You had to say goodbye.
