Now that the scrapbook is finished

by Chelsey   Apr 2, 2006

It took me 5 months to make that scrap book
When I viewed it I couldn’t help but cry
Our memories seem to now be fading
My tears are slowly running dry

“Our first two years of friendship”
That’s what I made the first page say
Those two years were the best of my life
I find myself begging and praying for them to stay

Our first few pictures we looked so young
I couldn’t help but laugh at us
Our first dance we thought we were cute
That’s when we first met and had no trust

Some pages we looked so bad
Neither one of us even cared
I love that I can be that way with you
With other friends that was a dare

With the flip of every page
I laugh and then I cry
We were so close back then
Now its like we have to try

This current argument we had
Made us see the true side of each other
The first time both you and I
Had to go for advice to our mothers

My mom thinks that you have changed
Your mom tells you to hang on
But this awkwardness now
Has been going on for so long

We crack up in school still
But I know you see it too
Those few moments when we roll our eyes
You at me, then me at you

Now that I finished our scrapbook girl
Now that my hard work is done
Its up to us to either throw it away
Or get together and make a brand new one
