I Need To Put This Book Down

by Selfrejected   Apr 3, 2006

My lights have burned dry
And the CD has been skipping for hours
I smell the life
As death burdens upon an old mans bones
The candles sit smoking
The cold sense of misguidance
I only speak one name
With great mistrust
The sun breathes day
And the moon sucks it in
The night is protrusive
And bright
Smiling upon me
With it's great shinning pseudo comprehension
It's talked to me for days
Told me I should not leave the darkness
A shadow will not take from me anymore
I breathe it's air
For it has taken mine
The lights no longer conquer
The darkness filling this room
As I sit and wait for nothing
To become my last place
I write away
Waiting and waiting
