Red life

by LittleMissImperfect   Apr 3, 2006

When i turned two
I got some red shoes
I danced all day long
But then the laces were gone.

When i turned four
I got a bright red door
But the door got jammed
Every time it got slammed.

When i turned six
I learned to play pooh sticks
I played for hours that day
Then my red hat blew away.

When i turned eight
I thought my teddy was great
He had bright red hair
But one day he wasnt there

When i turned ten
I made a new friend
Her name was Lucy Red
They said she was in my head.

When i turned twelve
I got a bright red shelf
It held all my new toys
Then it came down with one loud noise.

When i turned fourteen
The told me 'This is where life begins'
Red is now a symbol of pain
That made me want to be two again.

I've just turned sixteen
Red's no longer so mean
I guess I'm used to the pain.
Today, I got some red shoes again....
