Drive Away

by ratchild666   Apr 3, 2006

Stuck at these traffic lights again
Three reds in a row
Ground to a halt with wheels spinning
Punching the horn
Screaming into the silence

Wish I could drive away
Long way down the one way
My road stretching out before me
As I drive over my life
Roof down without a care

Memories whipping through my hair
Far behind to never catch up
Close my eyes as I ride
And not see your face on the inside
But now fumes cloud my thoughts

Sat still with my hands on the wheel
In control but time will tell
Surrounded by the same blank faces
Wannabees, fakes, and taunting eyes
Staring at the road ahead

Held back by the red glow
Lighting the way
Freeze frame this scene
Staring through the screen
Wishing myself somewhere else...

This was well funky. So different and somehow giving more of your emotions away even tho only talking about one scene.
    Lurved. ;)
