I Couldn't Sing To Save My Life

by Selfrejected   Apr 4, 2006

What I stood there and showed the sky
Was the blood on my hands
The deeds I have not done
But the predilections that sunk deep
The clouds formed in grey
A smile came across my face

The nooses
Are there to remind me
That the dead never come back
So, it's sung once more

The agony and anxiety
They defile everything
Sickening the teeth
And no longer can I bite
I've become the prey
I can no longer hold the weight
The burdens
I've bestowed on myself

The beasts they look at me
They smell me
They smell you
The nooses
Are there to remind me
That the dead never come back
So, it's sung once more

It only takes
One breath
To make this mine again
It only takes
One song
To make this whole again
So, it's sung once more
Without you
