Fight of Life and Death

by Tim   Apr 4, 2006

We start then with noting,
Nothing to loose yet everything to gain,
He teaches you to live,
Value life above all.

Clearing the mind to move like water,
Taking the shape of its surroundings,
With thoughts cleared you draw your sword,
Using it to extend life.

He’s taught you everything you know,
But now his blade is turned,
Sword drawn and thoughts cleared,
You know he means to take you life.

The wind blows the grass around you,
Whistling through the trees,
You close your eyes to clear your thoughts,
You know when you open them the fight will start.

The heart starts to race,
As you draw your sword,
Your master starts to move,
The choice of life or death is all that’s on your mind.

Blades clash with the sound of thunder,
The fight has begun,
Time stops until the end is decided,
When it’s all over emotions take control.

The battle for life will overcome,
Death is not an option,
The winner holds onto life,
As though death was around the corner.
