The One That Wasn't Thrown Away

by Rachel   Apr 4, 2006

I wonder how many songs have been written then thrown away
how many promises have been made only to be broken
how many friendships never really had a chance
how many tries it's going to take to get it right

You've been screaming loud and clear and we'll end this somehow
Just as soon as I find a way to let you go
But the smell of cigarettes is everywhere how could I forget
And everytime I walk into a ktichen it's that first hello again
That last goodbye for now we suffered through

Yours are the words that are etched on my heart
The words written so perfectly on my arms
Everything I'll try try and never forget

You could always make or break my day
And I'm so sick of falling apart
I want to forget how imperfect this feels
And run away just you and me forever
But you don't feel the same
You've been screaming loud and clear and we'll end this someday

Yours are the words that are etched on my heart
The words written so perfectly on my arms
Everything I'll try try and never forget

Always together always together
Everything with you
Anything for you

Don't always know exactly what to say
You're telling me not to try
Screaming screaming loud and clear
So let's end this today we'll end it today

So if this is goodbye
Take your memories as you go
Goodbye for the last time
through your new favorite song
