Object

Tension shoots through me as i enter his apartment.
Things are screaming at me to turn back,
I shouldn't have gone here.
He leads me to his bedroom and slowly looks me up and down.
His dirt covered fingernails,
The stench from the cigarette curls around my body.
My thoughts forced on lay-away.
Smiles spread across his lips,
He finally kisses me goodbye,
I nod emotionless and stride out the door.
My brain waves saunter in,
Worries storm.
He yells at me to call him so we can do this again.
I blow a kiss and walk away.
I am nothing,
An object
Sorrows sweep me off to depression land where razors are plenty.
So far for my sweet serenity.

Thisis amazing. I love it. It is quite short but you still manage to capture the mood of the piece and make it emotional for the reader. Well done on another great poem.
