They Say

They say that I can't feel love
When I'm only 14 years
So then why?
Why do I cry many tears?

They say a boy can't break my heart
"I'm too young and my heart is still intact."
Then why isn't my heart beating?
It's broken I know that for a fact.

They say that wishes and dreams
Really do come true
Then why aren't we together?
How come I'm not with you?

They say that fairy tales are real
That "my prince charming will come, I'll see."
Then why don't you take me away
When you stand right in front of me?

They say that it will happen
And that it just needs time
But I've been waiting forever
And you're still not mine.

They say you didn't feel the same
And that what we had wasn't true
So then why did I hear you say
That you loved me too?

    Funny how what "they" say is usually wrong.
    For the most part, your rhyming was pretty good and flowed well. l liked the reference to fairy tales, it made the whole "love" idea seem a bit more ideal somehow.
    And your prince charming will find you eventually, it just may be a different person than you think it will be.
