Rejection

by Shane Peate   Apr 6, 2006

Here I am

An unwanted byproduct of society's rejection
Stumbling down a companionless path of no affection
Disregarded outcast by all, without means of correction

Here I stand

Upon a desolate hill, surrounded by confusion
Journey from the world below, my own elusion
Joyous thoughts I find are nothing but illusion

Here I stay

Engulfed in fear and meaningless obsession
Slowly losing grip from constant oppression
Madness mutates my mind, completing this succession
Fading away I slip into the darkness of depression
