Silence
harsh and awkward
spans between us forever
why can't i find a word to say
anything that will make you laugh and smile
but no, alone i sit here to
feel the hot burn of your
waiting eyes in
silence

    This is a great write... Though I would consider changing line 6 by swapping our "in silence" with something different. Perhaps something like:

    "But no, I sit patiently and"

    Just a thought. I really enjoyed the poem though, it has a magnificent feel to it and I can almost feel the burning sensation of those eyes. Incredible.
