I loved you to the end,
but you never knew,
but you should never worry
i will always love you
as the final days of your life drew near
the way i felt
became all to clear
as the hateful disease was killing you
our moments together became fewer than few
even though what was happening was something i could never near contemplate
it was only love that kept you from your painful fate
you were ashamed to be seen by your family and friends
this is what makes me so mad i still loved you to the end
as i was told the news i could not cry
how was i supposed to accept that my best friend had died?
a your funeral i sat alone still numb with the pain
all i could feel was this terrible shame
i Had killed you with a stupid bet
over who could win the war of weight
but we took it to far but i got away
but you were enchanced and could not pull astray
to my best friend i am sorry i led you to this fate
and it is me you should always hate

*please help raise awareness of anorexia in boys. please comment coz this is my first poem and it would mean alot to me to know what you think *

    It's strange that you blame yourself and him. I'm surprised that you're not angry with him in fact.

    As far as the technical aspects of your poem goes it lacks the flourish that you could have. On the other hand I know that is about raw emotion and that is related in the way you have written this poem.

    Punctuation in a poem is vital for guiding the reader. In this case it's not that important because it is displayed line by line, sentence by sentence, but there is where the problem lies (for me at least). It feels more like a letter than a poem. What can you change here to make it feel less like a collection of thoughts and more like prose?

    Your poem was excellent im f what happen to your bestfriend.But that poem that you wrote speaks to alot of people and you could tell that you put your heart into it.
