Blades of a Butterfly

by The Black Angel Lloyd Rose   Apr 8, 2006

All my thoughts taking control,
All this pain; it is taking its toll.
I look around and see only black,
I look once more and see what I lack.
I see its wings so soft and bright,
The darkness fades to form the light.
Why haven’t I seen such a thing before?
Why had the dark now opened its door?
I see it its wings so soft
Disappearing to the sky aloft.
Perhaps I do not see all the things I should,
Perhaps if I try I really could.
Red, yellow, black, and white;
A butterfly dancing in the light.
All this time I was too blind to see
All the things surrounding me.
Maybe I should try to get away from this.
And look closer at all I missed;
But I stay here watching down
On all my friends and now all else around.
A butterfly still stays in my head
Just like my angel of music and all she has said.
I think of her when I see its wings spread
And her gentle hymn still after I ‘m dead.
