Emptiness

My soul is dead,
My heart beats no more.
No feelings or emotions,
From the moment you walked out that door.

I still see you in my dreams,
There we are alive and well.
Then I awaken to this nightmare.
Though no one else can tell.

I hide my thoughts,
My heart void of speech.
Hollow am I to the core.
And you are so out of reach.

No more will I smile,
Laughter only a memory.
Happiness gone forever,
Please open your eyes and see.

Re light my fire,
Make my heart beat again.
