My gift to you

I wrote this poem to let you know,
How grateful I am to you.
You met me at a deep dark time,
When my life was sad and blue.

You encouraged me to do my best,
You believed in me.
You may not realize what you have done,
And maybe still can't see.

You helped me open my eyes and see,
What potential I have and can do.
Before I was only existing,
This changed from the encouragement from you.

I now enjoy my work so much,
Look forward to each day.
To see what challenge may lay ahead,
As I am guided along my way.

Words of encouragement mean so much
Nothing that I have known before.
Praising me and making me smile
I thank you more and more.

Now I look ahead and see,
There are places I can go,
A bright future I may have.
Thank you for being more than you know.

I wish you a Merry Christmas my friend
This gift I give to you,
As a reminder of what you have done,
May all your future dreams come true.
