Under the Moon

by The Black Angel Lloyd Rose   Apr 9, 2006

Sometimes I lie awake at night,
Heavy eyelids I do fight,
Wishing she was here with me,
Then I could rest so peacefully.

But she's not here, she is away,
I await to have that day,
I'll hold her close to let her know I care,
Not letting go, always to be there.

She lies awake at night as well,
To be with her, my soul I'd sell.
She is my world, my pride and joy,
Her heart is so fragile, not close to a toy.

I glance at the moon, her staring back,
I know I am on the right track.
I'll lie forever wishing her here,
And look at the moon, knowing she's near.
