Holes in me

by Flying Phoenix   Apr 9, 2006

Hail outside my window
I am sheltered from the pain
Small ice balls of evil
Thrown hard against my name

Insults shot
By passing figures
Stabbing darts
The hurt disfigures
Pain comes
In many forms
Sometimes physically
Or mentally it's torn

Curled up tight
To hide from the menice
Yet only love
Could replenish
The empty hole
Left inside my soul
Alone I wait
In the cold

I didn't do wrong
So why attack me so?
Is it my fault
That I did not know?

From the distant place
Of despair and fear
I was rescued
By the ones I hold dear

Thankyou again
For pulling me through
I remember now
And I'll always love you
