The danger in the alley

by The Fallen Angel (David Strife)   Apr 9, 2006

He stands in the alleys
waiting for her to walk in
thinking that she had done nothing
walking past the man
thinking he means no harm
the man pulls the knife
knowing what to do
slides the sharp blade into her soft skin
gagging her with the cloth
stopping her scream
sliding the knife into her beautiful body
several times
bathing in her blood
running yet again
fleeing from his act

I like the way you've gradually increased tension in the poem. Good stuff.

    Much love and God bless,
