Longing for you

by Renee Kotva   Apr 10, 2006

In the darkness of the night
I lay and think about you
about your soft touch
your lips, your arms around me,
and the way you love me
I long for you in a bitter way
trying to think of ways
to make you love me again
I regret things I did and
things I didn't do
I wish I could take some things back
I long for your phone call in the night, or the sweet whispers in my ear
little things then, I want back so bad now
I don't understand why I can't forget about you
I pray that you'll want me again
that things will work out between us
that you know I love you,
but I can't be here much longer
the sun is now rising but
only a few minutes left of when
I can dream of a love I want to be
