Beautiful Disaster

by Amanda   Apr 10, 2006

Raindrops carelessly run down her precious face
Her mind drifts off into another place

She fades slowly in and out
Not knowing what the world is all about

Natures scent allures her to a familiar taste
This compels her conscience into a total waste

She is a long way from what she had called home
And although she does know that she can't forever roam

It's not like she had asked for this
All she wanted was to exist

Her feet start to move as though she is a stranger
Footsteps represent the new clear and present danger

Earlier today she had gotten sent away
Away from all of her dismay

Her face seemed to show no remorse
For her fathers eagerly driving force

Escape was her last hope
To finally find comfort and learn to cope

There is no promise for her now, she thinks
Her head now begins to slowly sink

Deep within her soul is where the higher truth lies
Caution is how she abstains from her fatal demise

Silence awaits her with every waking second
Now she recalls the winds that she has beckoned

She cannot live here her whole life as a hidden shadow
Life is not that easily bestowed
