My heart against my mind

by Libby   Apr 10, 2006

These tears can fall down
His words can keep talking
My heart can keep on screaming
But its no matter, my mind is still walking.

Tears come a plenty in us
Hidden by a need for us
Inside walls I am building
To protect my body from a broken trust

A pause in an un-living life
Causes chaos in this place
Though minds we are alike
We won’t agree on having space

I need a distant treatment
Though I want to carry on and suffer
But when you open your eyes and drown
In tears of pain from little than your other

It’s a fatal sign of desperation
When your body rejects its temple
You must follow your steps
Walking away, its painful yet essential.
