Soups and Spoons

by Jacklyn   Apr 10, 2006

With soup you have your solids
but you also have your liquids
Testing to be difficult
when eating with a knife in hand

But you learn by doing wrong
and change to do it right
and next time you have soup
you avoid eating it with a knife

Now forks are very handy and clean
for eating chicken and the ABC's
but things get a little interesting
when it comes to slurping things

But you learn by doing wrong
and change to do it right
and next time you have soup
You avoid forks just the same

The process of elimination
of trying and trying again
but let hopes rest with peace
As you settle with your spoon

With soup you have your solids
but you also have your liquids
Finding the perfect match
in only a matter of trail and error

This is such an adorable poem! I love how you did the whole trial and error thing throughout the poem. Who would've concluded that you eat soup with a spoon without trying each utensil...lmao.
Oh and I loved the chipmunk poem in the friendship section as well. Unfortunately, I couldn't comment cause the site logs me off when I go to the friendship section. So here's the comment for that one, it was very well written and so cute.
Take care and keep it up~Holly
