You could be here

by Renee Kotva   Apr 10, 2006

I look out upon the night sky
so many glistening stars
shine down they twinkle with beauty yet there still a million miles away the moon shines on me
as I wish you could be here

I stand at the edge of the sea
admiring the sun setting in front of me the colors pink, purple, and blue mix together creating a mirror image on the crashing waves beneath it.
a boat sails across the distance
as I feel the waves hitting my feet
and wish you could be here

I stand on a mountain top
gazing on the life underneath me
the trees are so tall they seem to reach to heaven
the snow is packed in the ground
the sky it blue with marshmallow like clouds drifting along
I put my head down and feel a tiny snowflake land on me
and wish you could be here

but it doesn't matter where I am in this world if I'm in the jungle, on a river, flying across the sky, in a cave or just rite here rite now I'll always wish you could be here

This poem was really good, I dont know who rated it 1. Dont worry, there are some people who do things like this. I loved it, the essence of missing someone is all over the poem. Great job!!! 5/5
