Sticky (Pleiades)

by Jacklyn   Apr 11, 2006

Sticky gooey mess
sticking to my vest
Scraping to get off
stuck to lost hopes
Stupid sticking paste
suppose to be on my teeth
scraping them clean

A pleiades is a seven line verse. Only one word is allowed in the title, and the first word in each verse begins with the same letter as the title. [Hortensia Anderson, a popular haiku and tanka poet, added her own requirement of restricting the line length to six syllables.]

Very cute poem! I love how you multi-tasked by writing a poem that fits two challenges, I'm so envious :)
You describe toothpaste beautifully. I could actually taste the spearmint as I read this....lol.
Take care and keep it up~Holly

    Oooh, a pleiades...FANCY! Lol!

    "Scrapping to get off"
    "scrapping them clean"

I think you meant *scraping. Just without the extra "p". =P

Oh, and i hate it when i'm in a rush to get cleaned up for school and i find toothpaste smeared on the corners of my mouth and all on my shirt. Ha.

    Take care!
