Charity Case

Shes had a hard life
that much is seen in her face
just because shes used the knife
she still isnt a charity case

her emotions always seem to collide
but thats only one trouble you see
just because she has tried suicide
doesnt mean she cant cross the stormy sea

the blame was always seen as her own
no one seems to have understood
its all hidden and unknown
she would explain if only she could

she wants you to be there
wants you to help, be involved
just as long as its real care
not guilt, where love has dissolved

everyone thinks they know her
a girl whos lost her direction
they just want to protect her
but they cant stop her from feeling rejection

shes glad shes different from the rest
shes just being herself
but different isnt always the best
when its to do with her health

but different also means good
for a girl who believes in her mind
she does all she could
to live without being blind

the actions she takes
she sometimes has to think twice
or she\'ll make a mistake
she cant trust her own advice

but this girl, she has a solid heart
she takes things in her stride
her smile is a piece of art
she is now able to have some pride

So dont any of you dare try
just look right at her face
she no longer wants to die
shes not a charity case
