Pop a Pill

by Amanda   Apr 12, 2006

Rushed to a doctor.

Smiling contently,

Knowing your time has come.

The pills we took to end this misery but the pain has just begun.

Lying on a blood stained bed in a crowded room of empty faces.

No one seems to know what happened to all the traces.

Broken smiles fill our past and nothings left but bleeding tears.

Present time is fading to a distance.

And the future is not near.

Looking up to a man with smiles saying you'll be okay.

Forcing your remaining energy to scream NO I WANT IT THIS WAY!

Concerns and shocks fill your ears.

And cold blue tears run down their faces.

Looking down upon you wrists were the slits are broken and bleeding.

Every memory comes pouring out just like the blood that flowed.

Can't escape this emptiness this uselessness this pointlessness.

Oh how I wish I died more painfully.

Dagger in hand and falling to the floor.

But no, I had to pop a pill and live a few days more.
