Swirling in black darkness
With no one to give you light
Feelings of being alone
With no one to comfort you

People constantly putting you down
And no one to lift you up
Wanting to hurt yourself
And no one to talk you out of it

Thinking of yourself as a loser
With no one to tell you that you're cool
Thinking of yourself as ugly
With no one to tell you that you're not

Wanting to be your own person
And no one to respect it
Not being a jock
And no one to tell you what's important

Trying to speak your mind
With no one to listen
Trying to fit in
With no one trying to help

Crying at night
And no one seems to notice
Screaming out loud
And no one that cares to listen

Trying to get through life
With no one making it easier
Trying to make others feel good
With no one returning the favor
