Waiting For Her Miracle

by Ashley   Apr 13, 2006

This lonely girl sits here,
Waiting for her miracle.
She wants to know when,
But all she sees is the knife in her hand.

She sits here,
Staring at this blade,
Seeing if there was anything
Worth staying here for

She didn't see anything.
All she could see
Were her peers walking past her,
Can't anyone see me?

I have nothing to live for.
My past is dank,
My present is lonely,
My future is blank.

No one is here by my side,
Telling me to put the knife down.
You would think I would have someone,
But no, I'm on my own.

I stare at the blade,
Then wait to see if someone says don't.
Would people even care,
If it was halfway down my throat?

This girl holds the knife away,
Getting ready for its force.
Are you ready? Here it comes!
And she's all alone, of course.

The lonely girl sat here,
Waiting for her miracle.
If only she had waited,
For her miracle was running late.
