A London Spring

by StormShadow   Apr 13, 2006

The first flowers are blooming
Roses, tulips and bluebells.
Ever so slowly, the trees are awakening
from their winter sleep.

As everyone rushes of to work
lost in their headphones.
Mounted soldiers of the King's troop
ride past, a picture of an era long gone.

People stroll on the fresh grass
and the soft damp ground.
The still chilly winds blow across
the open spaces of Hyde Park.

The days are getting warmer
Longer and sunnier.
A wonderful season has begun
and the promise of another.
