This is our love

by Princess Midge   Apr 14, 2006

Light glides through a clear surface;
piercing,
intense.
Water droplets slide
catching spectrums, falling.
Holding beauty
in my fingertips,
I am struck
by fragility.
One move sending
shattering shards
to infinity.
One thought,
can this beauty last?
I loose my grip.
Fear
is reality.
Glass flows through my fingers
like droplets;
water falling.
Glass hits magnetic earth
falters
and is airborne.
Momentary bubble
floats.
I reach for the surface
and find
the fragile mask
hides power,
strength.
Breakable
is unbreakable
and this
is our love.
