The dance of my dream

by endless tears   Apr 16, 2006

Walking down the street
to here the sound of my heart beat,
singing louder than your dreams.
dancing with the people
of psychedelic fantasies,
left you begging for my melody.

So you buzzed my fingertips
to play your strings
with the acoustic style
of my soft stroke seduction,
leaving you longing
for some more of my guitar loving.

You beg, "Set your instrument
right next to mine
and together we'll vibe
in perfect harmony",
but I know the electricity
of this cat purring in reverie,
can't be energized all the time.

So I'm walking down the street
to a lonesome heartbeat,
singing softer than your silence.
Dragging with the people
of my very own broken dream,
leaving my body dancing all alone in the cold night street.
