Its life

by vanna   Apr 18, 2006

Its the radio after twelve
its the empty space on the reality shelve

its waking the cat and throwing it in the shower
its accidentally giving the enemy all the power

its the only cloud in the blue sky
its when the last breath you'll ever take is a sigh

its the cockroach showing up in your Christmas dinner
its when the meth head turns out to be the winner

its taking your convertible in the eye of the hurricane
its being shot in the head and not feeling the pain

its walking down the street and nobody knowing your name
its working your whole life for that 15 minutes of fame

its dancing with your boyfriend while he stare at his ex
its find out your grandma died while you having sex

its closing your eyes and never seeing the light again
its a brutal car accident slamming into your best friend

its the question on the test you'll never know
its arriving late to the good morning show

its your frown continuing even after you die
its asking your fairy god mother a question and not getting a reply

its the moment you realize everyones in depression
its your therapist shedding tears at an hour long session

its finding the weirdo behind the mask
its getting the answer before you ask

its the sea sick at the front of the bow
its the crime scene investigators curiously asking how

its realizing your going to walmart in a truck
its remembering your past and all its bad luck

its how much that last kiss really meant
its being caught in a tornado with only a tent

its loving your home but hating your government
its staring in the eyes of your lover thinking hes heaven sent

its the sirens drowning out the library
its the air head spitting " on the contrary!"

its the tree branch that will always be too high
its the cancer patient under the bulbs on the verge of permanent fry

its when all the sudden your life don't make sense
its saying i love you in the past tense

its leaving your whole life behind you
its settling in then having to start over new

its standing at the top of the building looking down
its handing the princess your well earned crown

its stepping back from a difficult mission
its losing your life's greatest ambitions

its calming putting down the taunting knife
its attempting suicide but maintaining life
