But hey whats changed?

by Loz   Apr 18, 2006

3 years ago we met, our eyes met and we clicked.
we were together, never apart
we talked every night, long into the dark
then one morning i walked into a room full of laughter
it was all for me
i had been a fool, you had done nothing but lie to me.
bu hey whats changed?
definitely not you.

I'm back in that room again
a teen in love again
you standing by my side
i can feel it now
that fire in my body
but now its back to reality
the fire is out, my heart is cold
cause you haven't changed

2 years and 10 months after that
we were in most classes but that was that.
we never talked but sometimes I'd look
and find you looking back.
i didn't want to get hurt but i wanted you back
we talked about the first time we met,
you said you really felt for me and you still did and i believed.
but it wasn't me you wanted
but hey whats changed?
definitely not you

I'm back in that room again
a teen in love again
you standing by my side
i can feel it now
that fire in my body
but now its back to reality
the fire is out, my heart is cold
cause you haven't changed

you were with her and i couldn't have you
i knew that but all those words you said to me- i almost believed.
we played a little game and you told me you loved me
and suddenly i found myself being the other one.

I'm back in that room again
a teen in love again
you standing by my side
i can feel it now
that fire in my body
but now its back to reality
the fire is out, my heart is cold
cause you haven't changed

but then another joined and your crush became a trio who you wanted more than life.
you asked me who to turn down and i couldn't speak.
i thought you loved me but no.
i had to tell you how sweet it was that you felt for her-
me the fool again.

now once again reality has dropped me from heaven
woke me from my dreams, slapped my face,
and let you rip out my heart.
I'm cold again, theres no warmth left inside of me.
I'm wounded by my own lack of knowing whats good for me...
but hey whats changed?
definitely not me.
