Love and Death Laced With Tears

by Sabrina Bolvari   Apr 21, 2006

Like two cold hands, your life
so gently held in mine,
The prize of my love, and for that
I should not have been so blind...

When my lashes are laced
and eyes shine sadly with the tears,
Because of the fact that your absence is
the only thing I fear.

Stabbed in the heart with the pain
that you will never show,
slowly filtering through
And I feel it implode.

this empty existence
is proving so unworthy
but for slit wrists, a bottle of pills,
and the electricity surging;

my crying in silence
Is your secret's keeper,
But I can see well
To the promises deeper.

A hope of redemption,
In a crystalline state
Of dreams clinging tightly
Is still stronger than fate.

You're the one I love, and
I know your will to live,
So let yourself forget,
Because I will always forgive.

So when my eyelashes are
Tonight laced with the tears,
Know that for you, I would give up
The pulse that binds us here.

Hypocrisy embodied
Is the feeling that's between
Because the life, the love of you and I,
is the passionate murder of death's release.
