Beneath Clouds

BENEATH CLOUDS

the young girl packed
her bags by the door
another black eye
she could take it no more
with no place to go
and no one to care
she questioned the value
of a life so unfair
and she wondered if god
Saw beneath clouds.

he took off the colour
a bandanna of rage
escape from the gang
16 years of age
tossing and turning
sleepless nights in his bed
he thought of the loss
of the innocent dead
and he wondered if God
Saw beneath clouds

She held tight her baby
dressed only in rags
a mattress so soft
made from old plastic bags
no food for her baby
no toys on the floor
she prayed for a chance
to give her baby much more
and she wondered if God
Saw beneath clouds

Sometimes the sunshine
Shines through all the darkness
Sometimes God does
See beneath clouds

Tis poem was really good. it flowed very well and it was touching to read.

as for the topic of the poem, well if your heart has as much love for that baby girl than whats in this poem then thats the best thing the girl could have. love beats toys xxx

    nice job xx
