Confusing Tides

by Unconformist   Apr 22, 2006

Confusing tides, don't pay attention to the moon

as my mind eats away at my skin

i don't know what to do

i don't want to be rejected again.

You tell me these things,

they make me smile

but i still don't believe them

all the while.

I take a small pin-prick

to my heart each time,

seeing you love her

knowing you're not mine.

But I can't seem to get out,

the small glimmer of hope

that we'll be together

even though i still know

that confusing tides are washing

away my perception

so i can't even tell

truth from deception.
