Stepping off the Edge

by blackroses   Apr 22, 2006

Hello, ground,
You look lonely,
From my pedestal of red,
But you know I can’t just die in bed.

Tonight I jump,
Tomorrow I die,
Because of him,
The one I thought I loved.

If I fall or if I fly,
I still will die,
Because of him,
It’s not fair to me.

He can analyze,
And testify,
But he will never know,
Why I died.

He led me on,
And let me fall,
He wasn’t there to catch me,
And that’s why I died tonight.
