Dying Souls

by SingleWing   Apr 23, 2006

Their tears, they're lost in rain
But forever stays the pain
For the dying soul
Shall never depart
From a forever hurting heart
The glint of light that was once there
Is no longer keeping
To where it was once joyful
To where it was once sleeping
Their heart and soul is buzzing
With love, hate and grieve
For how could they love someone,
and suddenly they leave
Apparently to a "better place"
But where can that be?
For what better place is there
Than without you beside me?
But then the candle flickers
And the spark tickles
As their heart begins to heal
It's taken time hurt and effort
from them and all around
The feeling they once had
Has felt the past time feeling
It' taken a bite,
It might, just might
Want to keep on eating
The memory seizes to dwell
of those not the better
and the memorable ones slip silently through
and gently are they greeted
To all the things we do
an so did one once too
They say that we'll get over "it"
But something's still not right
Their empty chair, gentle care
Are forever all around us
No doubt they will always stay
At the bottom of our hearts
But truly that is inevitable
For when did they really depart? X

every word of it's true,
every word for you XxX
