Not Really a Poem****

It was sad their love had come to this. She said she loved him no more that it just couldn’t work. He went to their favorite spot at the cemetery and saw a tree hanging by. There he tied a rope and clibed on the fence. He shouted to the wind I will love her till the end and fell. The rope snapped tight around his neck as he hung there and died. She found him and the note that he wrote…

To Whom it may Concern:

Tell her I love her and that I always will….that as you lower me into the ground to lie that my love is still strong…that my heart however cold and dead is still full of love and that I will watch over her as she lives her life protecting her from harm for I kept my promise…I kept my word my love for her was endless and so now is the time I hold.

As you lower me into the ground remember this I said I would love you until the day I died, I was wrong not even death could hold my love from you…you are my angel….you are my love….you were my whole life….

The police came and took down the body, the funeral was the next day. No one showed up because it was to hard…No one but her….She stared at the coffin as they lowered it into the ground….she watched as the buried it and then she laid upon the mound. The rain fell hard as she laid there and wept…The sound of angels singing as she slit her wrist….Her blood mixed with dirt and created a morbid puddle…A priest found her and with her a note….He read it to himself

I never stopped loving you….You were my all…I should never have said those things I follow you now…We can spend eternity and I will show my love…You are my life….

And they buried her beside him in the soft brown dirt. A pure love that never seemed so tragic…We all must learn from this….When you give your heart give it for eternity for you will never know what you will truly miss…
