Her Secret Happy Ending

She woke up that morning
but wanted to go back to sleep
knowing the day will bring nothing but sadness
she felt the wounds which she'd cut so deep

she closed her eyes shut
just making sleeping breathing sounds
like she was having a bad dream
where she was lost, never to be found

she could never understand
how her dreams wer so close to being real
how not even her dreams had a happy ending
is sadness all this girl is allowed to feel?

so what if people knew
knew what this girl really wanted
would they stand in shock and sadness
or have her wish granted

this girl wants a secret ending
it would just be amazing to catch on tape
for then she could show the world
how she finally made her escape

but will her happy ending ever come true
will the start of it being in reality ever begin
can she finally stop having to fight
or is suicide too much of a sin...
