Missing Pieces

by Jacklyn   Apr 25, 2006

Drowning within self-hate
force feed by enemy hands
hurt for their pleasurable laughs
A dagger wedged into the heart

Loneliness swells within the mind
stuck with fear of being herself
trapped from finding her peace
gathering strength to not cry

Trying her best to shut him down
left within darkness, evil jokes
as some classmates joined,
Breaking her piece by piece

many witnessed her daily pain
still it continues, no one steps in
Becoming the missing pieces
who avoid to intervene

    Very powerful message!
I think in the second line you mean fed not feed.
Anyway, well done...this is something many can relate too.

I love the voice you used in this poem, and the phrases, especially "force feed by enemy hands
hurt for their pleasurable laughs", great overall!
