The Secret

She sits on her roof and stares at the sky,
She's in too much pain;she just wants to die
The choice that she made is breaking her heart,
The regret is slowly tearing her apart
Hoping to relieve some of the pain,
She grabs her knife and cuts again
As physical and emotional pain collide,
She wipes away the tears she's cried
The fear breaks through and continues to grow,
But what she fears, very few know
She made a decision that could ruin her life,
And now she's making it worse with the blade of her knife
As she rushes through the rest of the day,
She tells herself it'll be ok
She puts on a smile to hide her sorrow,
And braces herself for tomorrow
